Greytown is such a sleepy little village that comes awake on weekends and holidays when the folks from Wellington pour over the hill to enjoy the laid back cafés and shopping.
This weekend saw the local Christmas parade for this conservative village and the locals did let their hair down!! Promoted by South Wairarapa Rotary Club the parade extended well down the Main Street (original name huh??)…… school kids, radio stations, businesses, service organisations, fire, ambulance, St John, child care…. you name it they were there along with vintage vehicles (so appropriate for a vintage village).
